In Lisle, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Illinois vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

Lisle is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. I brought my 21 year old beater here for its final oil change, and the crew here treated it like a luxury car that just rolled out of the showroom, with one member taking time to polish the windows and mirrors, while the others got right to work both above and below, getting my car out the door in good time. The service was friendly, fast, and at a fair price. It was apparent that they took good care of the shop and waiting area as well (the bathroom was actually cleaner than those in many restaurants). I'm definitely going to continue bringing my vehicles here, and have recommended them to my friends as well.

Marshall and the Grease Monkey team did an excellent job and had wonderful customer service. We had our oil and filters changed with all the top offs and are ready for our 6 hour drive home! Also, Marshall was beyond professional and accommodating dealing with an unnecessarily disgruntled customer who neglected to simply read fine print on a coupon. We appreciate the service and would definitely make a pit stop if in the area again!

Love these guys! Fast, quality oil changes & they let me know of additional recommended services without any pressure at all. The loyalty program is amazing & the free top-offs between changes is a great perk as well! Excellent service, always super warm & friendly!

I can’t say enough great things about Grease Monkey in Lisle! Marshall and his dream team consistently go above and beyond with both the quality of their service and their exceptional customer care. From the moment you arrive, you’re treated with honesty, professionalism, and genuine kindness. What stands out most is how thoughtful and transparent they are—something that’s becoming increasingly rare these days. They take the time to explain what your vehicle needs (and what it doesn’t), making the entire experience stress-free and trustworthy. Their customer service is truly beyond anything I’ve experienced anywhere else. If you’re looking for a place that values integrity, quality work, and taking care of its customers, I highly recommend Grease Monkey in Lisle for all your automotive needs!

Marshall is such a refreshingly positive personality. He’s friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and kind. He advised what would be needed for my cat in the near future and didn’t try to push anything more (add-ons) than the oil change I needed. Service was thorough and quick, too!
